The U.S. Department of Energy's Yucca Mountain Project Office is offering a public tour of the site under study as the nation's high-level nuclear waste dump on May 18.
Participants may discuss geology, nuclear science, waste management and environmental concerns with DOE scientists while visiting work locations at the site, 90 miles northwest of Las Vegas.
Yucca Mountain tours are open to any U.S. citizen over the age of 14. Call 702-794-7104 for information and registration.
