Mon, Apr 29, 1996 (11:59 a.m.)

A 7-year-old boy remains in serious but stable condition today after being knocked off his bike by a motorist.

The boy, whose name has not been released, underwent emergency surgery at University Medical Center for head wounds suffered about 7:40 p.m. Saturday, authorities said.

The boy was riding out of a residential driveway in the 2800 block of Stanley Avenue, near Owens and Eastern avenues, when his bicycle collided with a westbound 1995 Toyota driven by a 20-year-old unidentified woman, said North Las Vegas Police Lt. Chris Larotonda.

Police are continuing their investigation into the accident and have not confirmed if the boy or the driver was at fault.
