He is survived by his wife, Mary; four daughters, Pam Doss of Mobile, Ala., Lizabeth Thornton of Las Vegas, Debbie Stisher of Miami, and Vickie Freeman of Port Charlotte, Fla.; his mother, Martha Brown of Mobile; and seven grandchildren.
