ALTAMONT, Calif. -- Sean Woodside led in qualifying to pick up his first career pole Saturday in the NASCAR Winston West Series.
The 26-year-old Saugus, Calif., resident will pace the 23-car field to the green flag Sunday in the Altamont 200. His same Golden West Motorsports Pontiac won the race last year with Lance Hooper behind the wheel.
Woodside qualified on the half-mile semi-banked oval at a speed of 99.053 mph.
