Deputy Griffith Evan Rausch Jr. and reservist Kevin Patrick Storms were arrested in July following a seven month investigation.

Rausch, 25, who graduated at the top his police academy class, was charged with conspiracy and four counts of possession and transfer of illegal machine guns.

Storms, 26, was charged with similar offenses, plus additional counts relating to the alleged manufacture and possession of pipe bombs and hand grenades.

Robert Storms, 30, a bartender at the Bucket of Blood saloon, also was arrested. His trial is scheduled for next month.

Federal authorities alleged the three were part of an unnamed militia group that planned to use the weapons against the federal government.
