Officials in the secretary of state's office say the raw count from clerks in 11 of the state's 17 counties is 9,076 signatures.

Susan Morandi, deputy secretary for elections, said each county clerk or registrar now must verify the signatures. That process must be done by July 28.

Nevada's Green Party was circulating petitions to ensure presidential hopeful Ralph Nader and several people seeking state office would be on the Nov. 7 ballot.

Morandi also said Citizens First Party, the former Reform Party of Ross Perot, has qualified for the ballot. The party submitted a petition with a raw count of 10,231 signatures, and 7,736 were found to be valid. That's well above the minimum requirement of about 4,100 signatures.
