Judge Lehmen dies after long service

Lehman, who died Tuesday, spent 20 years as the justice of the peace in the Canal Township and was appointed Juvenile Master for Lyon County by District Court Judge Mario Recanzone in 1986. He was the only person to hold the post.

He was seeking re-election for a six-year term. His name will appear on next month's ballot. If he wins, the judge's position will be declared vacant and will be filled by appointment.

He is survived by his wife Dolores and five children.
