Filling one of several top-level vacancies in city government, North Las Vegas City Manager Kurt Fritsch has hired a new human resources director.
Vincent Zamora, who most recently worked as human resources director for Sierra Insurance Group, will begin his new job Feb. 4.
Zamora replaces Dan Tarwater, who became the city's assistant city manager in December. Zamora will earn $87,000 per year.
City officials are still looking for a new police chief and a development services director.
