Osteoporosis screenings offered for seniors
Pharmaceutical Care Network is offering free osteoporosis screenings to Senior Rx members at 8 a.m.-4 p.m. Thursday and Friday at the Cambridge Recreation Center, 3930 Cambridge St., to promote awareness for Nevada's seniors. Recycle for Literacy to host event Saturday
Sprint Yellow Pages and the Clark County Public Library adult literacy program will host their second annual Sprint Yellow Pages Recycle for Literacy event 8 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday in the parking lot of the Sprint telephone company, 330 Valley View Blvd.
Residents and business may bring their outdated directories to the location on Valley View, where volunteers from the Clark County Library District and Sprint Yellow Pages will collect and count the books. For every directory recycled that day, Sprint Yellow Pages will donate $1 (up to $3,000) to the Clark County Library District adult literacy program. For more information, call 399-1112.
Top peacemaker nominations sought
The Mediators of Southern Nevada Inc. invites the public to vote for their favorite peacemaker for the annual Peacemaker of the Year Award and tell why their nominee should be nominated.
