Car owned by Rundles found in Seattle

The 1993 Buick owned by William and Shirley Rundle was found Friday in Seattle, Metro Police Lt. Tom Monahan said this morning.

William Rundle is wanted for questioning in the death of his wife, Shirley, and his mother, Willa.

Metro homicide detectives and a crime scene analyst traveled to Seattle to examine the car and interview witnesses. They are returning today.

The discovery of the car, which bears Nevada license plates "HONEYBUN," is significant, Monahan said.

"I would say it's a major break," he said. "We knew he was driving the car to flee Las Vegas."

It's possible that Rundle is in Seattle, Monahan said, but so far there's no direct evidence to support that.

Monahan said he's not certain of what, if any, evidence was found inside the car.

The car was found by Seattle police. It's being held in a secure facility in Seattle until it can be brought back to Las Vegas.
