A two-goal lead in the first half positioned the UNLV women's soccer team for something it had not accomplished in five previous meetings against Mountain West Conference rival Brigham Young. It was not meant to be, however, as the host Cougars made a second half comeback to defeat the Rebels 3-2 on Thursday night.
Nickie Olson and Jessika Vasquez scored for the Rebels, who play at Utah on Saturday afternoon.
