He was a starter his first four seasons with the Dodgers organization, then was switched to the bullpen last year at Double-A Jacksonville. He responded with a 5-4 record, 21 saves and a 3.45 ERA in 59 games.

Outfielder Bubba Crosby continued to bruise opposing pitchers, belting two home runs, and Las Vegas won six of seven games to extend its record to 21-7.

A right-hander who made $975,000 with Colorado in 2001, Wasdin (2-0, 2.81 ERA) leads the PCL with 39 strikeouts and is slated to start Saturday against the 51s. Wasdin, 30, was 31-29 record in 258 games with Oakland, Boston, Baltimore and the Rockies.

The 51s return to Cashman on Tuesday, when they play four consecutive games against Edmonton.
