Amey Alesna

Amey Alesna, 76, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local care center. She was born April 17, 1927, in Honolulu. A resident for three years, she was a retired school district food manager.

She is survived by her husband, Les; four daughters, Nadine Robertson and Julie-Ann Parker, both of Hilo, Hawaii, Ann McCellan of Lynnwood, Wash., and Kim Dickenson of Redmond, Wash.; four sons, George Fontaine of Phoenix, John Fontaine of Kailua, Hawaii, Alfred Alesna of Bellingham, Wash., and David Fontaine of Las Vegas; one sister, Juanita Cardus of Honolulu; two brothers, James Noa of California and John Noa Jr. of Wainanalo, Hawaii; 17 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 10 a.m.-noon Friday in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd. A memorial service will be 1 p.m. Friday in the LDS Lorenzi chapel, 221 S. Lorenzi St.

The family suggests contributions to the donor's favorite charity.

Troy N. Beaver Jr.

Troy N. Beaver Jr., 60, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. He was born Aug. 20, 1943, in Pennsylvania. A resident for 25 years, he was a state government inspector.

He is survived by one daughter, Shonni Morang of Las Vegas; his mother, Margaret; his father, Troy N. Beaver Sr. of Reno; one brother, Bob Beaver of Pennsylvania; and two grandchildren.

Services will be 2:30 p.m. Sunday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.

Betty Lee Bernier

Betty Lee Bernier, 50, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. She was born Sept. 1, 1953, in Winterhaven, Fla. A resident for 41 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, Raymond; one daughter, Brandy Hartnett of Las Vegas; her mother, Betty Sue Martin, and one sister, Susan Conn, both of Hyram, Ga.; one brother, Lee Daniel Smith of Georgia; and two grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 4-7 p.m. Friday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Services will be 9:30 a.m. Saturday in Palm Chapel, Eastern. Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd., is handling arrangements.

Gena 'Elaine' Bills

Gena "Elaine" Bills, 58, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local medical center. She was born Feb. 3, 1945, in Ocilla, Ga. A resident for seven years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, Robert C.; one daughter, Ginnia L. Bills of Las Vegas; one son, Steve Bills of San Diego; her mother, Gena Beth Mitchell, and one sister, Ann Mitchell, both of Fitzgerald, Ga.; and four grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Friday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave. Services will be 1:30 p.m. Friday in Shadow Hills Baptist Church, 7811 Vegas Drive.

James T. Brisson

James T. Brisson, 53, of Las Vegas, died Saturday in a local hospital. He was born May 5, 1950, in Trenton, N.J. A resident for two years, he was a department store janitor.

He is survived by two sisters, Bonnie L. McCloskey of Lawrenceville, N.J., and Coleen Bellantoni of Bisbee, Ariz.

Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

Raylene Espino

Raylene Espino, 19, of Henderson died Sunday. She was born July 25, 1984, in Honolulu. A resident for 15 years, she was an apartment leasing agent and a graduate of Cheyenne High School.

She is survived by her husband, Eli; her parents, Shawn and Robin Mollus, four brothers, Kyle Mollus, Randon Sander, Rayce Sander and Donovan Mollus, and two sisters, Krysta Mollus and Kira Mollus, her fathers, Frank Sander and Roger Dimalanta, all of Las Vegas; and her grandparents, Charline Mollus of St. Joseph, Mo., Rebecca Sander of New York state, Bernadette Lau and Trudy Lau, both of Honolulu, Gordon Phillips of Arizona and George Dimalanta of California; and great-grandparents, Daniel and Ellen Lau of Honolulu.

Visitation is scheduled two hours prior to an 11 a.m. service Sunday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave.

Betty Fedukowski

Betty Fedukowski, 82, of Las Vegas died Nov. 6 in a local hospital. A resident for 20 years, she was born Aug. 25, 1921, in Maine.

She is survived by one son, Peter Fedukowski of Weymouth, Mass.; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Private graveside services will be in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. American Burial and Cremation Services, 310 Foremaster Lane, is handling arrangements.

James E. Gormley

James E. Gormley, 75, of North Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. He was born May 21, 1928, in Medicine Lake, Mont. A resident for 50 years, he was a retired carpenter, a Korean War Army veteran, a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and a retired member of the Carpenters Union.

He is survived by one son, John Gormley of Alamo; two sisters, Betty Sorenson of Lake Oswego, Ore., and Rose Galyean of Opelousas, La.; two brothers, Betty Sorenson of Lake Oswego and Ted Gormley of Seattle; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Visitation is scheduled 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Services will be 1 p.m. Sunday in Palm Chapel, Eastern. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.

Frank C. Hodel

Frank C. Hodel, 82, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local care center. He was born March 8, 1921, in Naperville, Ill. A resident for 13 years, he was a retired telephone lineman, a World War II Navy veteran and a member of the Masons in California.

He is survived by his wife, Arlene; one sister, Rosa Mikula of Lake Isabella, Calif.

Visitation is scheduled noon-1 p.m. Friday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Graveside services will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.

William Collin Jacobs

William Collin Jacobs, 55, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. He was born April 18, 1948, in Salina, Utah. A resident for 24 years, he was a hotel computer specialist and an Air Force veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Edna; one son, G. Clell Jacobs II, and one daughter, Bonnie Brit Jacobs, both of Las Vegas; two stepsons, Steven Mitchell of Las Vegas and Michael Mitchell of Washington, Utah; his father, G. Clell Jacobs, and one brother, Gerald Clell Jacobs, both of Las Vegas; and three grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 9:30 a.m. Monday in the LDS Christy and Harris chapel. Graveside services will be in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.

Michael Jason Laughead

Michael Jason Laughead, 20, of Las Vegas died Sunday. A valet parker at the Forum Shops, he was born June 11, 1983, in Fountain Valley, Calif.

He is survived by his parents Debbie and Jim Laughead, and one sister, Jessee Laughead, all of Las Vegas.

Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to an 11 a.m. service Saturday in Canyon Ridge Christian Church, 6200 W. Lone Mountain Road. Davis Funeral Home, 2127 W. Charleston Blvd., is handling arrangements.

Shirley C. Murray

Shirley C. Murray, 76, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospice. She was born Oct. 30, 1927, in Copperhills, Tenn. A resident for 40 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by two sons, James C. Murray of Mystic, Conn., and Dr. Gordon J. Murray of Las Vegas; and three grandchildren.

Joshua D. Parry

Joshua D. Parry, 15, of Las Vegas died Monday. He was born July 18, 1988, in Boulder City. He was a student at Coronado High School, Henderson.

He is survived by his mother, Tina Parry of Henderson; his father and stepmother, Steven and Jeanette Parry, and one sister, Christy Parry, all of Las Vegas; two brothers, Casey Parry of Henderson and Shon Parry of Las Vegas; and his grandmother, Lillie Parry of Las Vegas.

Visitation will continue until 7 p.m. today and 9 a.m.-7 p.m. Friday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday in Green Valley Christian Center, 711 Valle Verde Court, Henderson. Graveside services will be private.

Denise 'Pixie' Pearman

Denise "Pixie" Pearman, 55, of Las Vegas died Saturday in La Grange, Ga. A resident for 11 years, she was an auditor at the Rio hotel.

No local services are scheduled. Hunter-Allen-Myhand Funeral Home, La Grange, is handling arrangements.

Kyle Richard Poff

Kyle Richard Poff, 15, of Henderson died Monday. He was born Aug. 15, 1988, in Apple Valley, Calif. A resident for 10 years, he was a Coronado High School student.

He is survived by his parents, Rick and Sharlene R. Poff, and one sister, Melissa Poff, all of Henderson; one brother, Chad Hernandez of Victorville, Calif.; and his grandparents, Shirley Marmone of Las Vegas and Richard Poff of Apple Valley.

Services will be 6 p.m. Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.
