The Las Vegas Ski & Snowboard Resort in Mt. Charleston was sold to POWDR Corp., the parent company of five major ski resorts in Utah and the Lake Tahoe area.

Terms were not disclosed.

Lee Canyon Ski Lifts Inc., doing business as Las Vegas Ski & Snowboard Resort, was owned since 1965 by the late Kenneth Highfield and later by his son Russell Highfield, said Lee General Manager Brian Strait.

The resort outside Las Vegas is scheduled to open Tuesday, with a snow base of 14 to 18 inches, weather permitting.
