Stanley Leisure Plc, the largest U.K. casino operator, plans to build a 125 million-pound ($225 million) casino complex at a site in Leeds, England, as the company seeks to capitalize on a relaxation of Britain's gambling laws.

The Liverpool, England-based company agreed to buy Leeds United Properties Ltd., whose only asset is an option to acquire the seven-acre site next to Leeds United soccer stadium, for 5 million pounds, according to a statement.

The plans, including a 150,000-square-foot casino, a hotel, shops, bars and restaurants, depend on reform of Britain's gambling laws and planning permission, Stanley Leisure said. The complex should be ready by the end of 2007, it said.
