Heath Totten allowed six hits in 7 2/3 innings as the Las Vegas 51s slid by Salt Lake 3-2 Thursday at Cashman Field.

Totten has quickly bounced back from an awful first start at Colorado Springs. Since giving up 10 runs to the Sky Sox on April 8, he's allowed 10 hits in 14 2/3 innings in two wins.

Las Vegas infielder Jose Flores, hitting .405 this year, was 1-for-3 with a run and a walk as the 51s improved to 7-6 in front of an announced crowd of 4,171.

The Dodgers acquired pitcher Justin Wayne off waivers from Florida. Wayne allowed two hits and two earned runs in one inning in spring training for the Marlins. In 61 2/3 major league innings, Wayne has a 6.13 ERA with 37 strikeouts.

The 51s put pitcher Ryan Rupe on the disabled list due to a muscle strain he suffered in Wednesday's loss.
