Gregory Junior Avery

Gregory Junior Avery, 35, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born May 9, 1969, in Arkansas. A resident for 33 years, he was an auto body and paint detailer.

He is survived by five sons, Gregory Avery Jr., Deshawn Avery, Jermey Byes, Steven Avery and Brandon Byes, all of Las Vegas; his parents, Leona Booker and Raymond Marks, both of North Las Vegas; seven brothers, Don Avery of North Las Vegas, and Charles York, Jeffery Thomas and James Avery, all of Arkansas, and Derrick Avery, Elbert Avery and Kevin Marks, all of Las Vegas; eight sisters, Renee Domineck, Kasha Belin and Christy Avery, all of Arkansas, and Regina York of Michigan, and Nicole Pers and Rosa Belin, both of Texas, and Vanessa Avery and Shiretha Marks, both of Las Vegas.

Visitation will be 2-7 p.m. Friday in Thomas and Jones Funeral Home, 310 Foremaster Lane. Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday in Carver Missionary Baptist Church, 1221 N. J. St. Burial will be in Arkansas.

Kenneth W. Carvalho

Kenneth W. Carvalho, 67, of North Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. He was born May 13, 1937, in Honolulu. A resident for 26 years, he was a retired dealer and an Air Force veteran.

He is survived by his wife Sharon; one daughter, Lisa of Eugene, Ore.; two sons, Anthony and Timothy, both of Las Vegas; one sister, Patti of Honolulu; and two grandchildren.

Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St., is handling arrangements.

Lauri Keyes Coffey

Lauri Keyes Coffey, 46, of Las Vegas died Saturday. She was born Feb. 13, 1959, in Ogden, Utah. A resident for 17 years, she was a homemaker, primary teacher, librarian and an enrichment leader.

She is survived by her husband of 21 years, Steven; one daughter, Stephanie, and one son, Patrick, and her parents, Tom and Wilma Keyes, all of Las Vegas.

Services were scheduled 10 a.m. today in the LDS chapel at 1801 Monte Cristo Way. Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd., is handling arrangements.

Imogene L. Gartin

Imogene L. Gartin, 83, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. She was born Aug. 17, 1921, in Kansas City, Kan. A resident for 55 years, she was a retired cocktail waitress.

She is survived by four granddaughters, Linda Jean Moncrief of Oklahoma City, Okla., and Shari Carter, Linda Lu Moncrief and Michelle Zuniga, all of Las Vegas; two grandsons, Jim Moncrief of Henderson and David Moncrief of Orange County, Calif.; 11 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be one hour prior to a 3 p.m. service Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave., is handling arrangements.

Dolores M. Gibson

Dolores M. Gibson, 52, of Las Vegas died April 6 in Las Vegas. She was born May 4, 1951, in California. A resident for 23 years, she was a teacher's aide at a child-care facility.

She is survived by two sons, Marcus Gibson of Las Vegas and Andre Jones of Lovelock; his father, Delacy Gibson of California; two brothers, Alfred Goodloe of California and Lacy Gibson of North Las Vegas; two sisters, Lavinnie McDowell and Rolin Cooper, both of California; and two grandchildren.

Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Friday in Thomas and Jones Funeral Home, 310 Foremaster Lane. Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday in Vegas View Church of God in Christ, 1906 Glider St., North Las Vegas. Burial will be private.

Esther A. Gonzales

Esther A. Gonzales, 84, of Henderson died Monday in Henderson. She was born May 22, 1920, in Blanco, N.M. A resident for four years, she was a retired owner-operator of a school bus company.

She is survived by two daughters, Norma Dominguez and Karen Valdez, both of Henderson; two sons, Damian Gonzales of Henderson and Robert Gonzales of Santa Fe, N.M.; three sisters, Flora Lujan of Pacheco, Calif., Viola Springall of Concord, Calif., and Henrietta Hayes of Shingle Springs, Calif.; three brothers, Valentine Archuleta and Milton Archuleta, both of Blanco, and Donald Archuleta of Rancho Cordova, Calif.; 21 grandchildren; 45 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be 3-7 p.m. today with a 6 p.m. rosary in Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson. Mass will be celebrated 10 a.m. Friday in St. Peter's Catholic Church, 204 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson. Burial will be in Blanco.

Louise Knepper

Louise Knepper, 79, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. A retired nurse, she was born March 23, 1926, in Sioux City, Iowa.

She is survived by one son, Tom Knepper Jr. of Las Vegas.

Visitation was scheduled until 3 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Services will be 1 p.m. Friday in Palm Chapel, Eastern. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.

Ethel Mae LaTour

Ethel Mae LaTour, 79, of Henderson died April 18 in Henderson. She was born Dec. 28, 1925, in Minnesota. A resident for 15 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, Alfred; two sons, Jeffrey and Kevin; two daughters, Sandra and Bonnie Sue; one sister, Grace Paulson; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Patsy A. Nelson

Patsy A. Nelson, 49, of North Las Vegas died April 19 in North Las Vegas. She was born April 8, 1955, in Ohio. A resident for 48 years, she was a bookkeeper.

She is survived by one son, James; two daughters, Donna and Jody; and three grandchildren.

John H. Price

John H. Price, 52, of Henderson died Tuesday in a local hospital. He was born Aug. 11, 1952, in Winchester, Mass. A resident for eight years, he was president of a construction materials company and Vietnam War Coast Guard veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Linda; three daughters, Sudan Price of Portland, Ore., Jenn Price of Sacramento and Teri Price of Henderson; one son, Jason Price of Morgan Hill, Calif.; his father, David Price of Cedar City, Utah; one brother, Wes Price of Livermore, Calif.; and two grandchildren.

Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

Bart Roche

Bart Roche, 85, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. He was born Feb. 10, 1920, in Ireland. A resident for 42 years, he was a retired director of nonclassified employees for the school district, a World War II Army veteran and director of Silver State Federal Credit Union.

He is survived by his wife, Margaret.

Rose Rudolph

Rose Rudolph, 73, of Las Vegas died Monday in a hospital. She was born March 9, 1932, in Dubuque, Iowa. A resident for 20 years, she was a legal contracts administrative assistant and a member of the Nevada Paralegal Association.

She is survived by two sons, Irwin Rudolph of Roswell, Ga., and Jeff Rudolph of Denver; one daughter, Laura Burke of Chicago; and five grandchildren.

Graveside services were scheduled noon today in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. King David Memorial Chapel and Cemetery, 2697 Eldorado Lane, handled arrangements.

The family suggests donations to the American Heart Association, 6370 W. Flamingo Road, Suite 1, Las Vegas, NV 89103.

Sidney Shmuckler

Sidney Shmuckler, 76, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local care center. He was born April 29, 1928, in Philadelphia. A resident for 27 years, he was a retired salesman in the clothing industry.

He is survived by his wife, Shirley; two sons, Andrew Shmuckler of Hollywood, Calif., and Jerry Shmuckler of Las Vegas; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchidren.

Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Friday in King David Memorial Chapel and Cemetery, 2697 Eldorado Lane.

Virgil White

Virgil White, 53, of Las Vegas died April 19 in Las Vegas. He was born Nov. 27, 1951, in Mississippi. A resident for 35 years, he was a cook at the Ellis Island Casino.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara of Louisiana; his mother, Christine Turner of Wisconsin; three brothers, Johnny Lee White of Mississippi, Eddie Lee White Jr. of Oklahoma and Earvin White of New York; and one sister, Angela Regina White of New York.

Visitation will be 2-7 p.m. Friday in Thomas and Jones Funeral Home, 310 Foremaster Lane. Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday in Thomas and Jones Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Davis' Paradise Memorial Gardens, 6200 S. Eastern Ave.

Agnes M. Ray-Wilfong

Agnes M. Ray Wilfong, 78, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. She was born June 22, 1926, in Lawrence County, Tenn. A resident for 45 years, she was a culinary technician at a local hotel.

She is survived by three daughters, Charlotte Arrowsmith and Jonella Brown, both of Las Vegas, and Darlene Staite of Ellenton, Fla.; one son, Tracy Ray, and one sister, Christine McSpadden, both of Las Vegas; one brother, Charles Parker of Asheville, N.C.; 11 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be 2-4 p.m. Saturday in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Services will be 1 p.m. Sunday in Bunker's Chapel. Burial will be in Memory Gardens, 7251 W. Lone Mountain Road.
