Pittsburgh nonstop to be added

Southwest Airlines, the busiest passenger carrier at McCarran International Airport, is adding a second nonstop round trip between Las Vegas and Pittsburgh.

The new daily flight was part of a series of nine announced by the Dallas-based carrier this morning.

Eight of the new flights involve Pittsburgh, one of Southwest's newest destinations. The new Las Vegas flight will begin Nov. 29 and will leave Las Vegas at 7:10 a.m., arriving in Pittsburgh at 2:20 p.m., with the return flight leaving Las Vegas at 6:15 p.m., arriving at McCarran at 8:15 p.m.

Southwest currently offers 198 daily flights according to McCarran statistics.
