I totally applaud and agree with Nevada Tax Commissioner George Kelesis, who suggests that the monorail's tax-exempt status should be revoked.
If you are charging a fee for a product, a service, a ride or even advice (i.e. doctors, lawyers), you should not qualify for a tax-exempt status.
The monorail is not only charging people to ride the inept contraption but it also is selling advertising, thus generating revenue. I strongly urge the Nevada Tax Commission to revoke this good-old-boys' sweet deal.
