DrumFest planned at Pavilion
Henderson and the Nevada Chapter of the Percussive Arts Society will present DrumFest 2005 from noon to 5 p.m. April 2 at the Henderson Pavilion, 200 S. Green Valley Parkway.
The event will feature performances, workshops and hands on drumming events with world renowned artists and performers.
Admission is $5 and includes access to all the performances, workshops, clinics, and percussion products expo. Various items will be given away and raffled off as door prizes.

Annual Indian festival scheduled
The Clark County Museum, 1830 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson, will host its 16th Invitational Native American Arts Festival from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. April 1-3.
The festival will highlight the history and artistry of American Indian cultures, and includes artist demonstrations, a market featuring more than 50 invited artists, dance and music performances, storytelling sessions, Indian foods and a children's "Make-and-Take" art area.
Also featured is the Museum's "Whistle Stop to Windfall: 100 Years in Las Vegas" exhibit that showcases selected artifacts from early to contemporary Las Vegas collections of Indian art.

"The Beauty Around Us,"
an exhibit by artist Lynda Hubbard Reis, will be on display from noon to 6 p.m. April 2 at Celebrity Centre, 4850 W. Flamingo Road, Suite 10. Reis is a member of the Henderson Art Association and an Old Town Gallery juried member. She will also do an art demonstration late in the afternoon. Call 366-0818.
