FLASHPOINT for Aug 14, 2007

Tue, Aug 14, 2007 (7:07 a.m.)

They are at every event where a presidential candidate alights in Nevada. From Las Vegas to Reno and points (Elko) in between, they are there. They come with their T-shirts emblazoned with the cause's logo, ready to ask the questions no one wants to ask about a subject too few care about. There was one asking a question Tuesday of Hillary Clinton in Pahrump while another trailed Mitt Romney in Elko. They were there last week when John Edwards and Barack Obama were here, and I am sure they will be back when all of them return. They are relentless. They are ONE. That's the campaign to erase poverty and AIDS from the map. If their determination in Nevada is any measure, put away your cynicism, because they mean it.
