Letter: Mockery being made of our laws

Sun, Oct 21, 2007 (12:55 p.m.)

Regarding the Las Vegas Sun's Oct. 18 story, "In Spanish or English, a chance to clear up tickets - today's the last day of traffic warrant moratorium":

It is unbelievable that some Mexican nationals do not know that they have to pay for their traffic tickets. They are driving with no license and no insurance, then they get a ticket and now they are getting special treatment from the courts because they did not know they had to pay the ticket. Come on!

They broke the law by entering the United States first, and now they are breaking the law driving without driver's licenses and insurance. I guess that is why I have to carry coverage for uninsured drivers.

Why don't the rest of the U.S. citizens just pick and choose what laws we want to obey?
