A memorial service will be held Monday for a pilot who died in a crash of an F-15D Eagle in a remote Nevada desert Wednesday, Nellis Air Force Base officials announced today.

The service for Lt. Col. Thomas A. Bouley, who was commander of the 65th Aggressor Squadron at Nellis Air Force Base, is scheduled for 9 a.m. at the Nellis Base Chapel. The memorial service is closed to the public.

For military personnel, the dress is uniform of the day.

Bouley, who had recently celebrated his 20th year in the Air Force, was piloting the fighter jet when it crashed about 50 miles east of Goldfield on the Nevada Test and Training Range, the Air Force said.

A United Kingdom Royal Air Force pilot also suffered injuries in the crash. His name is being withheld while an investigation into the crash continues.

A non-profit memorial fund has been established for Bouley’s children. Donations can be mailed to the Armed Forces Bank, 4325 N. Washington Blvd., P.O. Box 9719, Nellis AFB, NV, 89191. Checks should be made out to the “Thomas Bouley Memorial Fund.” For more information, call 702-651-8228.
