Fire damages home in Henderson

An electrical problem is being blamed for a house fire that caused about $350,000 in damage today in the Green Valley area of Henderson.

The Henderson Fire Department responded at 11:39 a.m. to the home at 540 Baldridge Drive, which is near the intersection of Warm Springs and Valle Verde. Fire officials found heavy smoke and flames inside the two-story home.

Investigators said the blaze started on the home's back patio and spread to its first and second floors. The fire was extinguished in about 20 minutes.

Residents inside were able to escape the fire. No one was injured.

The American Red Cross was called to assist the family after the house was determined to be unsafe because of damage.
