If we really look at the effect that the proposed oil drilling has had on OPEC, then we will see the positive aspects and reasons for drilling. With no cessation of action by the speculators of Wall Street, oil prices have begun to slide.
Now, be honest and consider the “why” behind the price slide.
If America drilled and tapped into the vast supply just offshore and in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge, then began to “mine” our shale oil fields, we would no longer need to buy oil from OPEC. Then, after filling our needs, and only then, we could begin to vigorously compete with OPEC on the world market.
If we simultaneously constructed new refineries and nuclear power plants, expanded solar energy production and tapped into wind farms, we would be the power providers of the world!
We have the technology to avoid pollution from any drilling, any refinery or power plant construction. The result: America would be “energy rich.”
Yes, the price of oil is dropping as OPEC hopes and prays the environmentalist lobbies and socialist politicians continue to do their bidding and block energy production as they have for far too many years!
