Fire damages 3 homes, vehicles in North Las Vegas

Three local fire departments responded to a home engulfed in flames that was destroyed in North Las Vegas today. The flames damaged two other homes, five parked vehicles and some utility poles.

North Las Vegas, Clark County and Las Vegas fire departments arrived at the house in the 2700 block of Ferguson Avenue to find one house engulfed in flames and smoke.

Two houses on either side of the main home were damaged in the fire. The fire then burned south, scorching vehicles and utility poles.

A total of 15 units and four chiefs spent 45 minutes dousing the flames.

No firefighters or residents reported injuries. One dog was slightly burned as neighbors evacuated their homes.

The fire is under investigation. Damage estimates had not been determined Tuesday evening.
