Melissa Alsop

Melissa Marie Alsop, 25, died Dec. 16 at University Medical Center.

A resident of Henderson most of her life, Alsop was born June 11, 1983, in Anaheim, Calif. Her family moved to Henderson when she was 1 year old.

She is survived by her husband, Jimmy, of Henderson; sons Dylan and Noah, both of Henderson; parents Craig and Sheri Brady of Henderson; and brother, Josh Brady.

The family requests that donations in lieu of flowers be made to the American Cancer Society, Cancer.org or (800) 227-2345.

Services were Dec. 20 at Palm Mortuary-Henderson.

Karen Price

Karen Price, 55, died Dec. 16 at Nathan Adelson Hospice.

The Henderson resident was born Dec. 23, 1952, in Chicago. She was a retired bus driver.

She is survived by her husband, Norman, of Henderson and daughter Kimberly Bono of Scottsdale, Ariz.

Services were held Dec. 21 at Palm Mortuary-Eastern.

Palm Mortuary handled the arrangements.

Anthony Ritchie

Anthony Ritchie, 64, passed away Dec. 13 at his home in Las Vegas, surrounded by his family.

Ritchie was born June 4, 1944, in Streator, Ill.

He is survived by his mother, Mary Kristich Ritchie of Las Vegas; sisters Marilynn Ritchie of Las Vegas and Diane Holst and her husband, David, of Henderson; nephew Jeremy Holst and fiancee, Stephanie Hoffman; and niece Jamie Lee Holst, all of Henderson.

The family requests that donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, StJude.org or (800) 805-5856.

Memorial services are private.

William Heimlich

William T. Heimlich, 95, died Dec. 16 in Boulder City.

The retired optician was born Nov. 24, 1913, in Syracuse, N.Y., and lived in the Las Vegas Valley for 31 years. He and his wife, Louise, lived in Boulder City for 23 years.

He is survived by his wife, H. Louise Heimlich of Boulder City; son, Richard Heimlich of Fountain Hills, Ariz.; and daughters Barbara Heimlich of India and Patricia Heimlich of California.

Services will be held at 10 a.m. Jan. 3 at the Homestead, 1401 Medical Drive, Boulder City.

The family asks donations be sent to the Homestead of Boulder City.
