It was a mischievous question

I acknowledge it was a mischievous question. But I couldn’t help myself. I had Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid captive via satellite, so I asked him: Shouldn’t he be supporting Hillary Clinton for president, lest she lose and come back to the Senate and go after his majority leader’s job? Reid looked into the camera and seemed to be pondering whether he could reach through the lens and grab me from 2,500 miles away and throttle me there and now. But he didn’t do that. Instead, he assured me that he believed his job was perfectly secure – and then he seemed unable to resist an addendum. He told me his job was as safe as mine, that both our positions were as secure as can be. Now that was good to hear. I think.
