Letter to the editor:

Telling the truth about Boggs case

Thu, Feb 14, 2008 (2:04 a.m.)

Jon Ralston is to be admired for his Wednesday column on former Clark County Commissioner Lynette Boggs. He called attention to a labor union-led program to discredit Boggs while it overlooked the same transgressions by favored politicians.

Mr. Ralston did this despite being publicly trashed by Boggs. He did his job because it needed to be done.

Ms. Boggs is probably guilty of breaking several laws, and is certainly an arrogant and self-serving person, but she is also the victim of a union payback. That fact needed to be brought to public attention. Hats off to Mr. Ralston for being able to type on his computer while holding his nose.
