I would like to commend Steven Spielberg for his stand on the Summer Olympics in China.
At first he agreed to help with the opening and closing ceremonies as artistic director. But Mr. Spielberg has demonstrated the courage to now say no to China because of its friendship with the Sudanese government and its apparent lack of concern for the genocide in Darfur.
Now if only our elected officials had the same courage to confront China about its lack of concern about products it ships to the United States and its many human rights abuses.
