Letter to the editor:

Bush stays in Europe as Midwest suffers

Tue, Jun 17, 2008 (2:03 a.m.)

When Hurricane Katrina hit, President Bush was in Washington. For the first four days he pretty much acted as if it were a windstorm that would eventually blow over.

Now we have the tragic floods in the Midwest and Bush is taking in the sights touring Europe. If we can keep him there for a couple of more weeks we might be able to avoid another Katrina disaster in terms of cleanup and restoration.

Just think, what if Bush had been touring Europe for the past seven years?
