I find it unfortunate that Las Vegas Sun writer Joe Brown reviewed the play “Room 776” in such a negative light. Playing at Las Vegas Little Theater, “Room 776” was written by Harrah’s headliner Rita Rudner and her husband, Martin Bergman.
My friend and I saw the play and found it very entertaining.
Brown wrote, “It doesn’t seem fair to lure unsuspecting audiences — and make them pay $22 — to sit through a workshop staging of such an unbaked piece of work.”
That was unfair. In this town, where tickets to shows and other events can be very expensive, $22 is a bargain, even considering that the play lasts only a little over an hour.
Fortunately, most people don’t listen to critics and use their own judgment.
