Dina Titus, The Anointed One. Oh how she must be loving that feeling for the first time in her career. Even Roll Call picked up on the longtime state senator’s new situation: “Nevada — Titus has Democratic field to herself in the 3rd.” The piece on Titus’ being the new choice of everyone to replace Robert Daskas as the potential Jon Porter-slayer might even help her raise a penny or two — and she will need a lot of pennies because Porter already has a million of them. It is now as if Daskas had never existed in the Orwellian world of politics. So, too, with Andrew Martin, the newcomer who was nipping at Daskas’ heels. He’ll be of no annoyance to Titus because the party folks pushed him into an Assembly race. It’s good to be anointed!
