Eighty-three percent of UNLV law school graduates taking the bar exam for the first time this year passed, 13 percentage points higher than the statewide pass rate for first-time test takers, according to the university.

This is the fourth consecutive year that UNLV's first-time test takers have

done better than those across Nevada. But the pass rate fell slightlyfrom last year, when it reached an all-time high of 85 percent.

The William S. Boyd School of Law admitted its first class in 1998 and has already broken into U.S. News and World Report's list of the 100 best law schools. Boyd is ranked 88th.
