Letter to the Editor:

Crash courses don’t equal real knowledge

Tue, Sep 16, 2008 (2:02 a.m.)

I watched the ABC interview of Gov. Sarah Palin by Charlie Gibson. To say the least, the thought of her as the potential head of state is scary. The interview exposed her lack of knowledge of international politics and major issues facing the United States. Her answers to questions in many cases were glib and off the cuff. Others showed a complete lack of knowledge of the subject.

Any clear-headed analysis would expose the fact that crash courses could not bring her up to speed. Her glibness shows a lack of substance and sincerity. How can a nation run the risk that a President McCain might not live out his first term and we end up with President Palin?
