Home invasion

A North Las Vegas man is out of the hospital after being shot in a home Saturday morning.

At 6:34 a.m., the North Las Vegas Police Department responded to a 911 call about a home invasion in the 1800 block of Camino Mirada. Officers found a 32-year-old man with a non-life threatening gunshot wound, who was later treated and released from the hospital. A 35-year-old North Las Vegas resident, who was uninjured, was also in the home.

The home-invasion suspect entered the home through an open door and attempted to rob the victims at gunpoint. The resident was shot when a struggle ensued. Both victims fled the house on foot.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic man about 30 years old, 6-feet tall and 230 pounds with long black hair in a pony tail and a mustache with goatee. He was last seen wearing a black or blue long sleeve shirt, blue jeans and black sunglasses. The suspect was possibly driving a four-door burgundy sedan with tinted windows.

Police are asking anyone with information about this incident to call Crime Stoppers at 385-5555.
