Steven Hayes’ Monday letter to the editor, headlined “All in the same boat, but some don’t row,” failed to mention those who row in the opposite direction.
How about the chief executives and others working for financial institutions who were in such dire straits that they needed a federal bailout? And now they reap those fantastic bonuses, which to some people would exceed a lifetime of earnings.
Their institutions were on the verge of collapse and yet they earned (sic) a bonus. Let’s get real!
