Clark County air quality officials issued a dust advisory for the Las Vegas Valley as a cloud of dust that formed in the Jean area arrived in the valley at about 11 a.m.
The dust advisory continues throughout the afternoon, the Clark County Air Quality and Environmental Management Division said.
Construction site operators and residents are asked to control dust as much as possible on sites and in vacant lots, officials said.
Air quality officials said they will issue an alert if air quality levels from dust reach unhealthful levels.
