Las Vegans looking for some cool jazz are invited to the kickoff for a fall concert series, performed by UNLV students, at Clark County Library on Sept. 8 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
The series will highlight student musicians from the school’s Jazz Studies Program. Concerts will be played monthly and feature all the spices of jazz music—from vocals to big band to mainstream and contemporary.
The Jazz Studies Program has been active for more than 20 years, and students have played at festivals in Europe, Japan and South America.
Performances will be held in the Main Theater. Admission is free.
