Two Nevada Supreme Court justices automatically given second terms

Fri, Jan 15, 2010 (5:34 p.m.)

Nevada Supreme Court Chief Justice Ron Parraguirre and Justice James Hardesty will get a second term on the state's highest court.

At the close of filing for the Supreme Court Friday, no one had come forward to challenge Parraguirre, 50, and Hardesty, 61.

They automatically win re-election to a six year term. Both were district judges, Parraguirre in Las Vegas and Hardesty in Reno, before winning their first terms on the court.
