Ben Brown, American Pacific Corp.

Ben Brown, MBA, who serves as director of corporate real estate for American Pacific Corp., has been an integral part of the Henderson community since he moved to Nevada 22 years ago.

Involved in the city’s growth and development both personally and professionally, Brown is responsible for the Gibson Business Park development in Henderson as well as the 4,500-acre industrial development on AMPAC’s property west of Cedar City, Utah.

Brown serves as treasurer for the Executive Board of Directors of the Henderson Chamber of Commerce and is also the immediate past president of the Henderson Development Association, the economic development arm of the Henderson Chamber of Commerce.

Brown, who has been a member of the Henderson Chamber for the past 10 years, is part of the chamber’s 2010 Leadership Henderson Class, which devotes itself to strengthening and educating community leaders by providing participants with in-depth insights into a variety of issues impacting residents of Henderson and Southern Nevada.

Brown has also continuously led American Pacific Corporation’s annual sponsorship of the Henderson Chamber’s “Swing for Success” Golf Classic, which benefits the Henderson Chamber and Nevada State College.

He graduated from Utah State University – where he met and ultimately married his wife, Nancy – in 1987 with a degree in business-marketing. He completed his MBA at UNLV in 1994.

Brown resides in Henderson, where he, his wife and their four children have continued serving in various capacities in their local LDS ward as well as in the local chapter of National Charity League.
