What we can learn from the look of our Congress

While watching the coverage of President Barack Obama’s State of the Union message, something struck me: The Republican contingent was made up almost entirely by dour-looking, old white men in black suits, while the Democratic side was represented by a great variety of ages, races and clothing colors and styles.

Which, I wonder, is more representative of the American public?
