The Los Angeles Clippers scored just six points in the second quarter Wednesday in a 79-50 defeat against the Chicago Bulls at the Cox Pavilion in the sixth day of the NBA Summer League.
Forward Al-Farouq Aminu, who was drafted No. 8 overall last month out of Wake Forest, led the Clippers with 13 points. However, Aminu and Eric Bledsoe, the Clippers' other first-round selection, combined to shoot just 4-of-21 from the field.
The Clippers, which followed the six-point second quarter with a 10-point third quarter, dropped their third straight summer game.
John Lucas was 6-of-6 on 3-pointers for the Bulls in scoring a game-high 25 points.
Cavs, Kings win again
Fifth overall pick DeMarcus Cousins continues to be one of top players at the summer league.
He scored a team-high 22 points and grabbed 12 rebounds in a 79-78 victory against Minnesota. He added five assists and four steals.
Sacramento has won all three of its summer games, and Cousins has posted a double-double in each contest. He had 19 points and 12 rebounds Tuesday against the Clippers, and 14 points and 10 rebounds Monday against the Detroit Pitsons.
In other action, J.J. Hickson's 34 points and nine rebounds powered Cleveland to a 93-82 victory against the Phoenix Suns to give the Cavaliers consecutive wins.
Former Arizona teammates lift Rockets
Chase Budinger of the Houston Rockets had 24 points on 9-of-14 shooting Wednesday in a 82-75 victory against the Denver Nuggets.
Jordan Hill, Budinger's college teammate at Arizona, was equally impressive with 13 points and 14 rebounds. Jermaine Taylor, who has been Houston's top player this summer, added 16 points.
The loss denied Denver a perfect summer league record. It finished at 4-1.
Other action
DeMar DeRozan had 23 points in helping Toronto Raptors improve to 3-0 with a 102-89 victory against the New York Knicks. Sonny Weems added 19 points for Toronto.
Also, Alonzo Gee had 24 points for the San Antonio Spurs in a 89-84 victory against the Atlanta Hawks.
San Antonio led by 22 points in the second half before the Hawks cut the deficit to three points in the fourth quarter. Rookie Jordan Crawford of Xavier led Atlanta with 20 points.
