Power proposal doesn’t seem to benefit all

Regarding Don Reid’s Monday letter to the editor, headlined “Smart meters are a win-win prospect for state”:

Smart meters might be a win for the worker away from a house or apartment during the heat of the afternoon, but what about those who are retired, the sleeping night worker or the homebound invalid? On my block there are at least two night workers, at least four elderly or homebound people, and at least two homebound children with special needs.

Perhaps someone can explain how everyone will benefit from this proposal. It could be that the only winners may be NV Energy stockholders.
