Like many observers, I have been thinking about the effect of term limits and retirements — forced and otherwise — on the Legislature in coming sessions. But it was put in stark relief this week by this statement from an insider: “The entire non-Clark County delegation terms out (by 2013), which means they go from hundreds of years of Senate experience to virtually none.” Two ways to look at that: One is that there will be a lot of inexperience in the upper house. The other: The South will rise again. It’s going to be fascinating to watch.
