Crash location

Two 22-year-old men were killed Wednesday after their sport utility vehicle crossed the center line on Decatur Boulevard and crashed into a school bus in the northwest valley, police said.

Metro Police Sgt. Richard Strader said no children were riding on the school bus when the accident happened at 11:55 a.m. on Decatur Boulevard just north of Lone Mountain Road. The passenger in the SUV died at the scene and the driver died en route to University Medical Center, Strader said.

Investigators said the bus was southbound on Decatur when a northbound Lincoln Aviator crossed the center line and collided with the bus. The names of those killed weren't available Wednesday evening.

Two people on the bus — Cedric Doolittle, 40, and Betty Price, 63, a Clark County School District employee — were taken to University Medical Center with moderate injuries, police said.

Officials asked drivers to avoid the area while emergency crews cleared the scene.

A portion of Decatur Boulevard was shut down between Lone Mountain Road and La Madre Way.
