Pedestrian hit by vehicle upgraded from critical to stable condition

Pedestrian struck

A pedestrian was upgraded from critical to stable condition at University Medical Center on Wednesday night after being hit by a vehicle at Las Vegas Boulevard North and Bruce Street, North Las Vegas Police said.

The accident was reported at 8:06 p.m. Las Vegas Boulevard was shut down in both directions from Lake Mead Boulevard to Bruce Street but reopened around 10:30 p.m., police said.

No further details were immediately available.
