25-year-old man dies in wrong-way crash on U.S. 95

A 25-year-old man driving the wrong way on U.S. 95 in Henderson was killed in a collision with another vehicle early Sunday, according to the Nevada Highway Patrol.

William Herbeck, originally from Wisconsin, died in the crash near College Drive on U.S. 95, according to the Clark County Coroner's Office.

Nevada Highway Patrol Trooper Joseph Fackrell said the accident happened at 3:05 a.m. when a silver Toyota Scion driven by Herbeck was northbound in the southbound lanes and collided with a silver Toyota Sequoia.

Herbeck, who was not wearing a seat belt, was pronounced dead at the scene, Fackrell said. The driver of the Toyota Sequoia, a 31-year-old Henderson woman, was taken to Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center with serious injuries. There were no other passengers in the vehicles.

The accident remains under investigation by the highway patrol.
