Henderson Police will host its annual commendation ceremony on Thursday to honor local citizens, police officers and civilian employees.
Chief Jutta Chambers will award the commendations, which honor “outstanding contributions to the community,” according to a press release. Awards will be given for Police Officer of the Year, Corrections Officer of the Year, Civilian Employee of the Year, Life Saving Awards and Valorous Conduct Awards.
The ceremony will take place in the city of Henderson Council Chambers at 7 p.m.
