Three female children suffered life-threatening injuries after being struck by car today while walking in a crosswalk on Camino Eldorado, near Tropical Parkway, according to North Las Vegas Police.

Officers said a 5-year-old girl and two 6-year-old girls were hit by a 78-year-old woman driving a sedan.

The girls were taken to University Medical Center Trauma, where two are in critical condition and the other is in serious condition, police said.

Police said two other girls were walking with the three that were injured at the time of the incident.

The 78-year-old driver was headed south on Camino Eldorado in the right lane and failed to stop as she approached a vehicle halted in the left lane, police said.
